When walking uphill in Velvento towards Katafygi, on your right you can see the Monastery of Agia Triada. The founding date of the Monastery remains unknown. The main and most reliable proof of its existence is the church’s and building complex’s presence. The last 100 years, it did not operate as a normal monastery with hegumens and monks, having monastic order and classification. The services are performed rudimentarily by Velvento’s priests.
